Terrell Davis

Terrell Davis is a former American football running back who played for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL) from 1995 to 2001. Davis was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

Davis was drafted by the Broncos in the sixth round (196th pick overall) of the 1995 NFL Draft. He is the Denver Broncos all-time leading rusher, with 7,607 rushing yards. As a player, he was given the nickname “T. D.” by players, fans and the media; this denoted both the initials of his first and last name as well as being an abbreviation for touchdown.

Kristin Chenoweth

Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth’s career spans film, television, voiceover and stage. In 2015, Chenoweth received a coveted star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2009, she received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in “Pushing Daisies.” In 1999, she won a Tony Award for “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” and she was also nominated for her original role of Glinda the Good Witch in “Wicked” in 2004. Chenoweth has been nominated for two Emmy Awards and for a People’s Choice Award for her role on “Glee.” In 2009, she wrote an upliftingly candid, comedic chronicle of her life so far, “A Little Bit Wicked,” which debuted on the New York Times Hardcover Non-Fiction Best Seller List. Chenoweth will star alongside Scott Wolf will star in upcoming holiday film “The Christmas Song,” which is slated to debut on Hallmark Channel in November 2019. She will also star as “Madeline” in the upcoming musical comedy “Death Becomes Her,” an adaptation of the 1992 film directed by Robert Zemeckis.

Robert Shapiro, MD, MA, PhD

Dr. Shapiro is a practicing neurologist and professor in the Department of Neurological Sciences at the Larner College of Medicine, University of Vermont. Dr. Shapiro holds an MA (philosophy/psychology) from the University of Oxford, a PhD (anatomy) from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an MD from Columbia University. He completed his residency training in neurology at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

His research studies were recognized by the American Headache Society (AHS) with the Harold G. Wolff Lecture Award. His publications have appeared in Nature, Science, Headache, Science Translational Medicine, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

He is the founding president of the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy. His national advocacy efforts have been recognized by the American Academy of Neurology with their Palatucci Advocate of the Year and Viste Patient Advocate of the Year awards, and by the AHS with their Above & Beyond and Distinguished Service awards. He is the past president of the Headache Cooperative of New England and winner of their Lifetime Achievement (“The Megrim”) Award. He also serves on the steering committee of Migraine at Work.

Dawn C. Buse, PhD

Dawn C. Buse, PhD, is a clinical professor of neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is a member of the board of directors of the Headache Cooperative of the Pacific, and a licensed psychologist. She has authored more than 200 scientific manuscripts and has won eight U.S. and international research awards and six professional awards for her work in the field of migraine.

She is a co-investigator on numerous U.S. and international studies, including the American Migraine Prevalence and Prevention (AMPP) study; the Chronic Migraine Epidemiology and Outcomes (CaMEO) study; the Migraine Signature Study (MSS); the International Burden of Migraine Study (IBMS); the Migraine in America Symptoms and Treatment (MAST) study; the Observational Survey of the Epidemiology, Treatment and Care of Migraine (OVERCOME) study; and a recipient of the FDA-sponsored Migraine Clinical Outcome Assessment System (MiCOAS) grant, which is gathering patient input for the development of migraine clinical trial endpoints. She is an advocate for the well-being of patients and healthcare professionals.

Carl Cincinnato

Carl stopped taking his health for granted at an early age thanks to migraine. He has had migraine for 26 years. Over this time health has become central throughout his life and work. This includes working with one of the biggest health companies in the world, Johnson & Johnson.

Today, he works with charities, foundations and organisations to help lift the global burden of migraine including Headache Australia and the Brain Foundation. He is a member of the International Headache Society and he also is the sole author at MigrainePal.com and co-host for the Migraine World Summit.

Paula K. Dumas

Paula K. Dumas is a lifelong migraine warrior, Founder and former Managing Editor of MigraineAgain.com.

After juggling a demanding career with CNN, Apple and Disney, she shifted gears to devote herself to family, faith and health advocacy. Although she’s lost a decade’s worth of days to migraine, she’s been able to reduce her frequency from 25 days a month to less than a day a month.

Now, she’s helping others to do the same.

To advocate for people with migraine, Paula has served on the Board of the American Migraine Foundation (AMF), the steering committee of the Coalition of Headache and Migraine Patients (CHAMP), the International Headache Society Global Patient Advocacy Committee, and was nominated for a WEGO Health Advocate award. She and her husband Karl lobby legislators on Capitol Hill as part of the US Headache on the Hill organized by Association of Headache Disorders Advocacy (AHDA).

To raise awareness about migraine, she’s spoken at the International Headache Academy and the first Migraine World Summit, as well as Research America’s Annual National Health Forum. She’s presented her research at the American Academy of Neurology conference, one of two academic research studies she co-authored (CaMEO and My Migraine Voice). Together, these research studies measure the impact that migraine has upon people’s lives, relationships, work and finances in over 31 countries.

To educate people with migraine, she’s authored over 300 articles on migraine health and wellness, and produced over 200 videos, interviews and podcasts. With Carl and her husband Karl, Paula co-founded the World Health Education Foundation, producing the largest live event for people with migraine, Migraine World Summit Onstage in LA in March 2019 and New York in March 2020.

To create healthier workplaces for people with migraine, Paula serves as chair of the MigraineAtWork.org campaign, focused on helping employers and employees tackle the widespread challenge of working through painful attacks. Each year, Paula co-leads an amazing global team of people with migraine who produce the Migraine World Summit, demonstrating the resilience and commitment of these courageous warriors.

Jaime Sanders

Jaime Sanders is a patient advocate, blogger, and mother of three. She lives with chronic migraine, fibromyalgia, depression, and anxiety. Jaime has a popular blog called The Migraine Diva, which is her personal diary, platform for her advocacy, and sounding board where readers can learn how chronic pain affects a person and their family. She is a partner with the Coalition for Headache and Migraine Patients (CHAMP) and is a part of the leadership of the Disparities in Headache Advisory Council. Jaime also partners with the Headache and Migraine Policy Forum, the Society for Women’s Health Research Interdisciplinary Migraine Network, the HealthyWomen Chronic Pain Advisory Council, and the Patient Leadership Council with the National Headache Foundation. Through her advocacy work and blog, Jaime’s mission is to make a very invisible disease visible to the rest of the world and validate the real pain of millions.

Stacey Worthy JD

Stacey Worthy is a graduate of George Mason School of Law, and she is an expert in workplace law and policy for those with health issues like chronic migraine. Ms. Worthy assists in coalition-building efforts with allied organizations focusing on common goals. She currently serves as counsel to and is a member of the board of directors for Aimed Alliance, a nonprofit that works to protect and enhance the rights of health-care consumers and providers. Ms. Worthy is a published author of scholarly articles, a regular speaker at national conferences and is a partner at the DCBA Law and Policy firm in Washington, D.C., where she specializes in health care law.

Kevin Lenaburg

Kevin Lenaburg has worked in healthcare advocacy for more than 15 years. He is the executive director of the Coalition For Headache And Migraine Patients (CHAMP). Kevin brings his professional expertise, along with his personal experience with being a caregiver for a loved one who suffers from a debilitating headache disease, to bring support to patients who suffer from various headache conditions who often feel stigmatized by the healthcare system.

Kevin and his work through CHAMP aim to bring together organizations and leaders in the field to work collectively to help people through their headache and migraine journey. Kevin and CHAMP have pushed for, advocated and celebrated the creation and release of the anti-CGRP class of medications.

Nim Lalvani

Nim Lalvani is the current director of the American Migraine Foundation. She has worked in public health for more than 12 years with a focus in nonprofit and patient advocacy areas. Nim has worked with many organizations with various areas of focus over the years but migraine is personal to her, as she is a hemiplegic migraine warrior herself. Her work in patient advocacy focuses on helping patients find and utilize the right resources and tools when they need them the most.

Paolo Martelletti, MD

Dr. Paolo Martelletti is director of internal medicine and of the emergency medicine ward at Sant’Andrea Hospital, and associate professor at Sapienza University of Rome. He is the past president of the European Headache Federation and the Italian Society for the Study of Headache. He has also been chairman of the World Health Organization’s global campaign against headache called Lifting The Burden. Dr. Martelletti has published over 400 articles and book chapters. He is the editor-in-chief and founder of The Journal of Headache and Pain, and has served as an editor of many other journals.

Rashmi B. Halker Singh, MD, FAHS, FAAN

Rashmi B. Halker Singh, MD, FAHS, FAAN, is an associate professor of neurology at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz., where she also serves as the headache medicine fellowship program director, neuroscience block faculty member at Mayo Medical School, and a member of Officers & Councilors. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in neuroscience before attending medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit. She then completed both her neurology residency and headache medicine fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Arizona before joining the faculty in 2011. During her residency training, Dr. Halker Singh was named the external chief resident.

For the American Academy of Neurology, Dr. Halker Singh is the previous chair of the Headache and Face Pain Section and a current member of the Science Committee and has served as course director, faculty member, and plenary speaker at the annual meetings. For the American Headache Society (AHS), she is a member of the board of directors, as well as co-director of the Resident Education for Assessment and Care for Headache (REACH) program, current chair of the Women’s Leadership Development Subcommittee, co-director of the Scottsdale Headache Symposium annual meeting, and a member of several committees. She is also the deputy editor and the online and social media editor of Headache, the official journal of the AHS, and is an editorial board member of the American Migraine Foundation.

She has been a speaker at many international, national, and regional meetings and has numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and abstracts related to her fields of interest, which include migraine, women and headache, telemedicine, and medical education, as well as topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Her many honors include the AHS Above and Beyond Award for Service, Outstanding Course Director at Mayo Clinic, Top Faculty Members Award by Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development, Emerging Leaders Award by the AHS, Mayo Clinic Commitment Against Racism Grant Recipient, and the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellowship Award.
