Filming for the 2019 Migraine World Summit near the European Headache Federation’s conference in Italy.

The Migraine World Summit is an annual live event that is held each year in March or April. It is available for free online.

The Migraine World Summit provides an opportunity to improve patients’ and caregivers’ understanding of migraine and headache disorders by providing access to leading migraine experts, doctors and specialists from around the world.

Our mission is simple… to reduce the global burden of migraine. By giving access to many of the world’s top experts, information is shared that can be discussed with the patients’ healthcare professionals to improve health and wellness.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Video Reviewers are part of the Content Editing team and play a key part in ensuring the highest quality viewing experience for Migraine World Summit participants. This role does not require technical video editing skills or software knowledge. Instead, Video Reviewers help refine and elevate our expert interviews by closely watching draft video recordings, identifying any issues, and providing thoughtful, actionable feedback to our editing team. If you have a keen eye (and ear) for detail, enjoy content curation, and want to contribute behind the scenes, this could be a rewarding role for you.

No technical video editing skills required! An interest in the topics, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to learn use of basic tools are all that’s needed.

QUALITIES

  • You are attentive to detail and able to focus on both visual and auditory elements of video content.
  • You are comfortable providing constructive, clear, and respectful feedback.
  • You are reliable in meeting review deadlines and communicating progress.
  • You understand the viewer experience of those living with migraine.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Watch video drafts of expert interviews closely from start to finish.
  • Identify and flag visual or audio problems (e.g., glitches, sync issues, background noise, distracting transitions).
  • Suggest edits to improve pacing, clarity, or viewer engagement (e.g., where trimming or cuts could help).
  • Submit detailed notes and timestamped feedback to the video editing team.
  • Ensure the final product meets Migraine World Summit’s standards of professionalism and polish.
  • Collaborate with editors to improve the content experience for a global audience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in visual and audio review.
  • Clear communication skills for delivering feedback.
  • Comfort using basic collaborative tools (e.g., Google Docs, Slack, Zoom).
  • Ability to assess viewer experience from both a content and technical perspective.
  • Willingness to watch pre-edited full-length expert interviews (typically 45–60 minutes).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (helpful, but not required)

  • Familiarity with online learning or video-based educational content.
  • Experience with content or quality review processes.
  • Knowledge of migraine or chronic illness is a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Location: Remote
  • Timeframe/Hours: Approximately 5+ hours/week for several months. Option to transition into additional Content Editing team tasks after that timeframe depending on interest/availability at that time.

Join Our Team

The annual Migraine World Summit draws 100,000 participants from more than 100 countries who tune in to learn from 32 world-leading experts. This year we received countless emails, messages, and social media comments sharing how the Summit opened up a world of hope and transformed lives.

This impact is only possible thanks to the generosity of our expert speakers and dedicated volunteers, who freely contribute their knowledge, time, and passion. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.

Now, you have the opportunity to get involved in this life-changing work. We’re looking for a few capable, compassionate volunteers to join the team that helps bring this event to life each year.

Our roles are flexible, purpose-driven, and remote. By joining the team, you may gain new skills, friendships, and insights into better health while helping support others with migraine. It could also be a valuable stepping stone if you're re-entering the workforce — or simply a meaningful way to empowerment on your own migraine journey.

Apply Now

We recognize that life with migraine — or other health challenges — can make extra commitments difficult. If you feel that volunteering at this time could negatively affect your well-being, we completely understand and encourage you not to apply right now. Your health comes first, and you’re always welcome to reapply when you’re in a better place to contribute.

If you have the relevant skills and feel well enough to take part, we encourage you to apply or share this opportunity with someone who might be a good fit. Our volunteer roles are open globally and filled on a rolling basis — some immediately, others as needs arise. Thank you for your interest and your patience as we thoughtfully review all applications.
