Managing migraine starts with education, and this is an excellent place to begin. I’ve been listening and learning from the very start, and thanks to the Migraine World Summit, I’ve gained a much deeper understanding of my condition. With their guidance, I found the right doctor and went from being a chronic sufferer to one manageable migraine per month. Knowledge made all the difference in reclaiming my life.

I came across this Summit by way of a Facebook support group and I am SO glad I attended. I have suffered from migraine for 25 years. I am usually so diligent in learning about my health conditions and being very proactive in helping myself BUT because I was a very young child when I was first diagnosed, I had never actively learnt anything about the condition exept what I got from my treating doctors (which turns out the be absolutely nothing!). It was just one of those things that I've always had and I don't even recall life before I had migraine. After attending this event, I now feel SO well-informed and feel like I have an excellent understanding of the disease AND hope for a better life ahead. I highly recommend attending to anyone who suffers from migraine.

This is always a great place to get up to date information on migraine care and treatment. I love that it's affordable for everyone (you can't get much better than free!) and easy to access. I wish more providers would listen in; I'm sure it would benefit them and their patients.

I found Migraine World Summit thanks to my migraine tracking app. In a nutshell it is a gathering of educated minds on everything relating to headaches and migraine. I have found it tremendously helpful. I have learned so many new things that I plan to use in my own management of migraines but best of all it has given me renewed hope that there are still many treatments I have not yet tried, and new options that are coming all the time due to research in this area. Thank you to all who have contributed to this project.

Us migraine sufferers often feel overlooked and underwhelmed, and we know that desperate people fall prey to all kinds of traps set on the internet. So it's an incredible gift to receive so much expertise and encouragement for free, over eight days (and more), from home. It has already changed my mindset; I feel so much more optimism about how I can manage my condition now that I've heard from so many doctors (this was my first summit). A huge thank you to the organizers; it's obviously a huge job. I would recommend this program to anyone.

This is my 4th world summit. They have all been excellent experiences that have allowed me to learn about the most up-to-date advances in migraine management. Some years I've purchased passes, which offered me more flexibility. My schedule was such this year that I was able to watch daily sessions without purchasing a pass, which I truly appreciate. I've been heartened by all I've learned from these worldwide experts. The format has been easy to follow and I appreciate that it has stayed consistent every year. The half hour sessions are succinct and manageable for me time-wise. I have often accessed the additional resources and case studies that are listed for each interviewee. Carl, Elizabeth and the interviewers are very professional and ask the experts thoughtful questions.

This is a fantastic educational opportunity every year, and the fact that it's free is the cherry on top. The experts are truly experts as researchers and clinicians in their fields. Their interviews give clear and useful education on a range of topics that affect migraineurs generally and more specifically, depending on the talk. I have been watching this summit since it began and yet I always learn something new. Even repeated information has nuanced updates that are useful me and my current stage of life. The producers of the Summit, Carl and Elizabeth (and previously Paula), are genuine, intelligent, invested, and empathetic. They have migraine themselves and understand the real-world impact that it can have on our lives. Their contribution to making migraine more visible and to help our community find improvement in our conditions is invaluable and so greatly appreciated. I am incredibly thankful for their work and believe that it is literally life saving in some instances as they bring hope to the hopeless who live with this debilitating condition. These Summits are not to be missed and I'm already looking forward to the one 2027. Thank you Carl and Elizabeth and the entire team that puts this together!!

So much insightful information! I signed up for free, and had access to several 30 minute videos each day, I could pick and choose which ones I wanted to watch. It was perfect, and I learned so much about migraine that I hadn’t known about before. What’s new in preventing attacks, what’s up and coming, and what’s outdated. Everything was explained in detail but clearly understandable in layman’s terms as well. Highly recommend for anyone suffering with migraine!

Update after 2026 World Migraine Summit-every year I learn something else that is helpful in my quest to minimize my migraine symptoms. This year it was a session on current research. I’m hopeful that we will see treatments. The World Migraine Summit’s audience is migraine patients. As a senior who has migraine disease for 15 years, it’s hard to find info from migraine experts that is understandable to me. It’s available to everyone world wide and it’s free. Let me say that again-it’s free, no cost, zero, zilch, nada. Each year approx 30 migraine expert record an interview on topic relevant to migraine patients. We may think we are the only one that has an unusual migraine symptom until one of the sessions addresses it. It’s empowering for patients. Migraine patients, you are not alone. We need to advocate for this hidden disease. Please join the Summit in 2022 starting March 16th.

"Migraine World Summit" seminar is the best days/week to understand more of your migraine, because there are scientist, highly educated people/ doctors that are speaking about Migraine, and all the themes around that diagnose. Even if you are from Scandinavia or Europe, you can participate and watch the online conference/ webinar there and then, or later on replay. This year it was a lot of information about how to live better with migraine, how to educate yourself more as a patient and how to learn new skills that make your Migraine life better. So I recommend everyone to watch this Seminar next year ❤️

This Summit changed my life. The presenters are outstanding. I have suffered from migraines with Aura for decades. Incidents increased when I recently moved near the Canadian mountains and the constant change in barometric pressure. So much work has been done in migraine research since I was first diagnosed. I would highly recommend tuning in to hear these extraordinary experts. I thought the interviewers were exceptional. (Some also identified as being migraine sufferers.) Thanks to everyone at the Migraine World Summit for your efforts in making this happen. It is so appreciated. - Veronica McGuire

Every year this just keeps getting better and has more information and help for those of us with Migraines. I learn something new and have taken that to my Doctor and sometimes we try it and sometimes he explains why that treatment would not work for my type of Migraine with my other conditions. I love how they have specific talks that are geared toward topics like Vertigo, side effects and new medications in trial phase. Thank you for doign this every year!

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to tap into this. I think it’s going to be a life saver. I didn’t really want to listen to the other interviews because I have been following the world migraine summit for 5 years and want to get away from different theories and treatments . I want to try what Nicole has to offer and will let you know how I get on. Thank you again

I found the interviews that I chose based on my main migraine issues were informative, easy to follow and imparted useful information that I know I will find helpful. I especially enjoyed those which discussed the newest treatments and professional opinions. It's heartening to see the medical community treating this condition as a serious neurological and total body problem and not "just another type of headache". Excellent opportunity to listen to highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals in wide ranging fields of expertise related to migraine treatment from around the world. 2024 was my third year and once again I learnt a great deal. Every session covered something relevant to me. An amazing resource and thoroughly recommended. Adding to my above post, I have watched 2025 and 2026 which have again provided excellent insights into migraine disease from many aspects. The presenters and clinicians are first class and impart their knowledge in a relatable and empathetic manner. Knowledge is power! Will continue to participate.

I found out about the Migraine World Summit in 2019 and am thankful I did. They send emails with pertinent information regarding Migraine and Headache Disorders. Their yearly summit is amazing. I watch the free 30 minute interviews they offer daily for 24 hours. It's the perfect amount of information and short enough for me to stay interested. Thank you MWS for everything you do for all of us that suffer with Migraine and Headache.

I have ME/CFS as well as chronic daily migraines and sound sensitivity, and so my cognitive spoons are precious to spend. I watched one of their sessions with a Cleveland Clinic doctor. The doctor was terribly underprepared and her session had all of the detail and specificity of the pharmaceutical company's marketing brochure. I expected more rigorous science and better quality information. It wasn't worth my spoons, especially when there are so many other better, more science-based conferences out there.

What a terrific resource the Migraine World Summit is! I first discovered it during Covid and have been returning to it each year. I live in a town with no headache specialist, and one long time neurologist so have been dealing with migraine for over 40 years with my family practice doc. The greatest resource I’ve come across is the interviews during the Summit where I’ve learned about new therapies which propelled me to actively engage my GP in conversation. The more you know, the more empowered you feel to suggest options. Thank you World Migraine Summit!

Life changing and mind blowing! After years of suffering, I recently got diagnosed with transcerebral migraine with aura and worsened VM and OM. Relieved and confused, l found the Online Migraine Worls Summit. Talks by professors from top universities, experts in all fields related from food to psychology... on symptoms, prognosis, treatments (existing & in pipeline), psychology, comorbidities, ... Still processing, I feel so grateful, well informed (will pass notes and scientific articles to my doctors), empowered (turns out I did/do many practices from dance to Feldenkrais and became a yoga&meditation facilitator), take supplements & snacks, adapt lifestyle & choices) and most importantly: I am reclaiming my dignity. As many of us I suffer(ed) from incomprehension and shame, feeling like I imagined it, I should be stronger, etc etc Also the staff on the chat were knowledgeable fellow-migraine sufferers and so helpful and kind. Should be included in the curriculum of med school and advised for all doctors and network of people living with migraine.

I stumbled on the summit recently and didn’t know what to expect but was truly blown away by it. So much helpful information was shared that went beyond the typical migraine advice. The presenters were all so impressive and compassionate and gave me so much hope that they are out there doing this work with their patients and research. Even though they came from primarily conventional medicine backgrounds the thinking felt very whole person and not simply drug focused. Appreciated the talks on neuroprocessing, covid, sleep, exercise, neck pain, neuromodulation devices and many more. I felt very supported by the existence of this event and will definitely return for more next year.

The Migraine World Summit is one of the most proactive things you can do for yourself. When well-meaning friends ask if you've tried (some quack remedy) it is always great to say, "Every year, I participate in the Migraine World Summit where I learn about the latest research...." Every year, I copy the links and treatments listed so I can review at my leisure. Every year, I am reminded that my migraines are not my fault and the guilt I carry is because of a disease not because I'm doing something "wrong." The Summit is filled with experts that translate the research into common language for ordinary people. Although I've been attending online for ten years, I continually learn new things. My biggest take-aways from this year included: -blurry vision is part of a migraine aura (I thought I was going crazy!) -there is a link between what you smell (olfactory system) and a nerve that affects migraines (Trigeminal Nerve). Because they need to be in balance, one needs to stop being afraid to smell for fear of creating a migraine (Osmophobia). (Learning this was emotionally overwhelming in a good way.) Every year, I feel respected, and part of a community that cares. We are not alone. I am so grateful for this invaluable resource.

I've had migraine for 35 years. I've watched the World Migraine Summit interviews for many years. I have learned much more about migraine disease and treatments from the professionals in the interviews than from any doctor I have seen, including doctors at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale and Lewis Headache Center at Barrow Neurology in Phoenix. I take notes from the interviews and use what I learn to request scripts for new medications from my doctor. The Migraine World Summit provides the basis for being able to advocate for myself within family, workplace, community and healthcare professionals. It also gives me a yearly much needed uplift after each year of fighting migraine.

I discovered this Summit 3 years ago when my life long struggle with migraines changed to chronic almost daily, early morning knife in the head pain. Listening last year about the advent of new preventatives gave me the courage and information to seek care from a specialist but also to advocate for myself with my PCP. In addition to knowing how and what to track symptoms and triggers and starting on one of the new CGRP inhibitors, my headaches have reduced to a few a month and are very easily treated with a small dose of sumatryptin and do not recur! I have learned so much from all of the experts and am forever grateful to the Summit for making such information available to this community! I strongly recommend purchasing the access pass as I find myself returning to the information often. I am over 70 and have just returned from a month of traveling with 10 flights, 14 hotel changes, walking very high altitudes, lots of different food and a packed schedule and I experience one headache which resolved with 2 doses of rescue meds!! I am forever grateful to Migraine Summit for making this possible!!

While everyone with migraine is different, Migraine World Summit has a wide enough range of expert and migraine effected presenters that I have been able to navigate my way from migraine that built through over 5 decades to sumatriptan/ibuprofen/caffeine based medication overuse, cefaly intensified chronic daily migraine back to episodic. I resigned from work. I waited hopefully for the cgrp drugs to be approved in my country. Neither Aimovig/Erenumab nor Emgality/Galcanezumab eventually approved here in New Zealand helped me enough to justify the payments from our household budget. Now with some understanding of Medication Overuse Headache (for which I substitute the term Migraineurs' Medication Adaptation Headache) I made careful use of Tramadol to get back to 10 to 12 monthly migraine days. Migraine World Summit doctors allowed me hope as I waited for the gepants and maybe PACAP. Approval for gepants, even for private payment - too slow. With a helpful letter from a local neurologist unable to find the time to see me on my doctor's referral - I headed overseas to stay with family and see a neurologist in London, UK. Rimegepant, Vydura aka Nurtec, my saviour. Back to life as a teenager with only 0-3 breakthrough migraines a month 2023, 2024, early 2025. Enjoying life, part-time work and repeated journeys back to London for prescriptions for Vydura . New Zealand finally gets a supply of Atogepant/Aquipta/Qulipta 18 months after NZ Medsafe approval. Somewhat cheaper budget wise which is a major plus for me - but when I try Atogepant March 2025 no go for my digestive tract, even with moving to a half tablet per day and I gave up after 3 weeks with acid reflux, gut pain, constipation and increasing vestibular effects and headache. Luckily I still had some Vydura to fall back on and I'm heading back to London next week. I think Vydura works best for me as a gepant because it dissolves under the tongue rather than being swallowed and absorbed through the gut. It also works as an antagonist of the cgrp receptor which may also be the best mechanism of action for me? Anyways, many thanks to Migraine World Summit for educating me sufficient to win myself a better quality of life :-)

Excellent organization, I learned about the annual course from an app for tracking migraines, I was able to watch almost all the lectures, they are free during the summit, then you have to buy them. This is very useful because Russia does not have the opportunity to purchase these courses, money transfers abroad are blocked by foreign banks that do not accept payments from Russia due to sanctions. Nevertheless, I mastered the course, learned a lot about the treatment method and about my illness, including what I actually knew, but could not voice. There is a lot to think about and try. I hope that the financial department will establish work with our country, there are also people in need here

This was my first year watching the Migraine World Summit, even though this has been a life long battle and I've been chronic for many years. I didn't purchase since it's not fiscally responsible for me at this time however I did watch a lot of them, I especially appreciated the ones about gut health and alternative treatments. As well as the weight loss and HRT ones. This is a complex neurological disease and needs to be looked at so many angles. I will keep this summit in mind for next year so I can plan ahead and hopefully purchase.

I don't have enough superlatives to express my high regard for the Migraine World Summit. When I first learned of it years ago, I was blown away that something like this exists. For most of us it's difficult to get 30 minutes of a doctor's time, or the chance to see a specialist, so imagine a Summit with 8 days of 30-minute interviews with experts in migraine care and research. The hosts of the Summit and the doctors they interview are the most hardworking, intelligent, knowledgeable, and compassionate advocates that you could hope for. Honestly, my gratitude brings me to tears. The only downside is that there are so many great talks that it's hard to find time to listen to them all, even with a lifetime access pass, but that's a good problem to have!

I have participated in the Summits for the last few years and have found each of them to be very informative and inspirational. There are speakers on a variety of topics with the latest information and research about migraine. I have gone back and reviewed the talks later and researched using the treatment guides. I would recommend attending the Summit to anyone suffering with migraines. Update for 2025: I participated again this year and continue to believe the Migraine World Summit is THE BEST PLACE to get reliable, science-based information for anyone dealing with a migraine condition. I also find the sense of community I get through the Summit very helpful. Unfortunately, we live in a world where invisible health conditions are frequently trivialized. The Summit features people who understand how life-altering a migraine condition can be. Sometimes just having your suffering validated makes a world of difference.

I wish I had known about the Migraine World Summit earlier, both my daughter and I have migraines, hers have been problematic since she was a teen and mine vary but I was recently diagnosed with Vestibular Migraines . It was good to see there is a way to watch the videos for free, 4 per 24 hour period over 8 days to watch the entire 32 speakers. I chose to pay a modest fee and have access to all of the videos and transcripts so I can peruse at my own speed. The speakers are experts in their fields sharing the cutting edge of research on migraines, treatment and relationships to other disorders. These experts also have years of experience treating patients with migraines and several covered non drug treatment of migraines , and lifestyle factors as well as important traditional treatments.I plan to watch/read all 32 talks, I’m at 8 now and have already learned a lot. Great program, highly recommended.

I really enjoyed the experience of knowing that there is a community that helps people with migraines. In my area, the information that reaches patients with this condition is very limited. I am glad to know that they are continuing to study how to improve the condition of patients and that there are methods to reduce the episodes. I hope that more summits like this one are held and that they can continue to help patients. Although I was not able to see all the interviews, I really took advantage of the information from the ones I did see. Thank you very much.

After suffering from this disabling disease for almost 60 years, I enjoyed listening to Dr. Gross. It's a shame her posts haven't been translated into Spanish. One of the most interesting and promising studies, also because I live in the interior of Argentina and we have practically none of the therapeutic resources that you can resort to (even though you are a doctor) and the costs far exceed, at least my possibilities. In any case, it contributes to helping so many people who suffer, and I was fascinated to learn that there are other therapeutic resources that I didn't know about. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE CRAVING AND WORRYING ABOUT STUDYING THIS SO UNVALUED AND STIGMATIZED DISEASE. SUCCESS!!!!!

Thanks to the information I received at the MWS sessions, I now know that migraine is a disease, a continuous condition, and that if I do not seek and push for good medical care that allows me to improve my quality of life, it will hardly happen. I was never directed by any of my doctors to look for a neurologist or headache specialist, the answers were always "improve your habits." The MWS opened a world of knowledge, guidance, and for the first time, I was able to understand my condition a little and have elements to guide my family and my nephews who may suffer from the same thing. From Mexico, THANK YOU!

Thank you very much for the opportunity to access the interesting interviews throughout the week. From them I was able to extract important data to be able to adjust the treatment I take to keep migraine attacks at bay. In my case, I take Amitriptyline at night before going to bed and by accessing the Summit I discovered that I should complement the treatment with vitamin D3, in addition to following other valuable recommendations. I hope that in the future some specialist could answer me why only ergotamine (not dihydroergotamine) takes away my migraines. I take a medicine called Migradorixina practically every day, which contains 1 mg of ergotamine and 125 mg of lysine. Very grateful for your attention.

It cleared up a lot of doubts I had. It would be great if there were professionals in Rosario who really care about what the patient is going through and investigate more, to give us a solution and not just different medications. Only those of us who suffer from unbearable migraines understand it. And we need help. Thank you for letting me be part of it.

The World Migraine Summit is a great opportunity that allowed me to learn more about the disease, its treatment and especially about self-care. It is also encouraging to learn about the progress made in diagnosis, treatment and the correlation with other pathologies, to know that we are not alone and that there are many resources to improve our quality of life. Many thanks to all those who work to defend and care for those of us who live with migraine and make a difference for all of us.

It is interesting to find a place where you can find very up-to-date information on migraine. Both regarding possible preventive and palliative medications, different types of migraines, alternative treatments, expectations and current lines of research... I have really found it interesting and very useful. I would appreciate it if you would continue to hold this world summit on migraine. Thank you.

This is the first time I have signed up for the World Migraine Summit. I have been living with migraine for 8 years now, and my symptoms have gotten worse. I loved the interviews with the doctors. I felt understood like never before, reflected in the descriptions of symptoms, and it has helped me to have more ideas to approach my treatment and understand the disease. Signing up was very easy. I recommend it 100% because I believe that we should give visibility, support each other, and not feel alone and misunderstood.

Also, when I leave comments or questions, they don't take long to answer you in a direct and simple way. So if your intention is to learn from incredible experts about migraine; its symptoms; types; how to treat them, etc., I recommend watching it and repeating it every year. I can only thank them for sharing their knowledge in such a direct and simple way. It has been very educational. Thank you.

The Summit was 1000% worth my time, especially as a free user! As a relatively new migraine sufferer who hadn't had much in the way of education about the condition, I received a priceless amount of information and, often, much needed validation and emotional support from each expert interview. I was even able to make an easy lifestyle change after leaning about the importance of nutrients like fiber and omega 3s in countering migraine, and my attack frequency has dramatically decreased! Thank you so much Paula and Carl, and every expert who shared their time and wisdom.

I have attended one migraine summit series (last year). The presenters are all world class and Googleable. The information is presented in a way a layman like me can understand. I especially like the information on the new treatments. As a result of the Summit I specifically sought out a CGRP (Aimovig) and my quality of life, almost like a miracle, became better. Investing time in this undertaking is one of the best things a migraine suffer can do.

Really useful interviews and helpful to have captions since some of the Americans are not easy to understand. Perhaps not as much new information as in previous years and it would be good to hear from other parts of the world. It’s called the World Summit but is very much US-centric. Given one of the organisers is Australian, it’s surprising there’s little from that continent, and nothing from Asia nor Africa. Nevertheless, everyone struggling with migraine should find something useful

I am so grateful to everyone working on & advocating with the Migraine World Summit. A HUGE thank you also to all the doctors & specialist taking the time to share their knowledge & expertise. The neurological disease of migraines is a spectrum which requires a lot of different perspectives & advice. All of this information needs to get out to EVERYONE struggling- highly recommend to anyone unfamiliar to check out at any time of the year (they have recordings of past summit sessions!) This platform is well constructed, easy to navigate, and is so inclusive. Also, special thank you to Paula & Carl (speakers) who had not 1, but 2 recaps of this years Migraine World Summit. It was so kind to provide yet another outlet for participation. I learn something new at every summit to help battle my chronic migraines. Thank you all!

The Migraine World Summit presents interviews with experts in their field in an easily accessible space for those of us suffering from migraine. I have learned from their interviews many new ways to explore therapies, things to discuss with my doctor, activities to help with prevention, and ways to understand migraine better. The lectures are offered free when presented and then at an affordable rate for download later. I have viewed some interviews again later or reviewed the accompanying transcript as a reference. The Migraine World Summit has been a great reference for me.

This is a don't miss event if you suffer from migraine in any of its forms. I always learn a great deal of useful information about how to manage my symptoms, and treatment options to consider. Possibly most importantly, is to know there are people suffering the same way you are, that finally research is ongoing to identify new medications, other treatments to consider, and that those resources are available to you on an ongoing basis through the resource centre and presentation library.

Appointments with your migraine provider are typically short and infrequent. The information I have gained from attending the last 5 MWS has provided world class and wide ranging information that has put me in the charge of my severe chronic migraines. I am better able to participate with my doctor in planning my care and I am implementing better self-care strategies. I do believe that migraine knowledge itself is helpful. I have suffered with migraines for forty years. It was the migraine summit that taught me so many important facts that has improved my life. Giving me the knowledge to share with my health care worker so I was one of the first to try CGRP in Canada. CGRP gave me my life back and I went from chronic migraines to a migraine once a month. Unfortunately I have taken a step back in the last year being diagnosed with Ménière disease and vestibular migraines. The 2024 migraine summit is still helping me and reminding me of the basics. Watch your lifestyle factors, keep that diary and be aware of the medications you are taking. Most important of all don’t give up. I truly needed to watch the summit this year because I was truly feeling defeated and needed a reminder to keep trying!!! Thank you Paula and Karl and your team for making the summit that truly does make a difference in our lives.

Living with chronic daily migraine attacks is incredibly difficult, and sifting through which information about treatment options is legitimate can be near impossible. I’m not always available all the days, all the time slots nor feeling at my best to absorb the material. The library of information is so valuable to go back and read or share with others as well as find things later that you didn’t think applied at the time. Days, weeks, months, years later.
